Connley Walker Pty Ltd was engaged by Perri Projects to undertake a comprehensive security review of one of their data centre facilities. The objective of this engagement was to evaluate the physical security posture of the site in alignment with best practice standards applicable to critical infrastructure and high-value asset environments.
As part of the engagement, Connley Walker Pty Ltd conducted a detailed site inspection to assess the layout, access controls, and existing security infrastructure at the facility. This included a review of perimeter protection measures, entry control systems, surveillance coverage, and internal zoning relevant to operational requirements and asset sensitivity.
The review also included consultations with key stakeholders, including facility managers, operations personnel, and technical advisors. These discussions enabled Connley Walker Pty Ltd to understand site-specific security protocols, access procedures, and operational risk considerations, which informed the overall security review process.
The engagement was delivered using a structured security consulting methodology, informed by AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 and industry-specific guidance for data centre security. The review considered physical access control, intrusion resilience, environmental design, and the interaction between human and technical security layers.
A Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) review was also undertaken to assess how the built environment could support security objectives. This included an evaluation of natural surveillance, territorial reinforcement, and access control through environmental design features.
Connley Walker Pty Ltd prepared a formal report detailing the scope of the engagement, the methodology applied, and the processes undertaken throughout the security review. The document was developed to support internal planning and to inform the implementation of any future physical security enhancements at the facility.
