Connley Walker Pty Ltd was engaged to conduct a security risk assessment for Austranna T Lab in support of their application for a Scheduled Products Licence. The assessment was undertaken to evaluate the site’s physical security arrangements and to ensure they met the compliance requirements applicable to facilities handling scheduled substances.
As part of this engagement, Connley Walker Pty Ltd conducted a detailed site inspection of the proposed facility. The inspection reviewed the physical layout, access control systems, perimeter security features, and internal zoning to assess the suitability of the design from a security management perspective. The site was assessed in the context of both current and planned infrastructure, with consideration given to future regulatory inspections and licencing approvals.
Connley Walker Pty Ltd also conducted consultations with representatives from Austranna T Lab to gain an understanding of the operational intent, proposed workflows, and access protocols. These discussions provided context for the assessment and ensured that the security recommendations aligned with the site’s intended use and regulatory obligations.
The security risk assessment was undertaken using a structured risk management framework aligned with AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018. This methodology supported a comprehensive evaluation of security threats relevant to the handling, storage, and protection of scheduled products within the facility.
A Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) review was also incorporated into the engagement. This review examined how the physical design of the site could support security outcomes through environmental design features such as surveillance, access management, and territorial reinforcement.
Connley Walker Pty Ltd prepared a formal report detailing the scope of services, methodology applied, and the professional process undertaken during the engagement. The report was structured to support Austranna T Lab’s Scheduled Products Licence application and to assist with the planning and implementation of future security measures in line with regulatory expectations.
