Previous Projects - Connley Walker Security Consulting Services: Griffith City Council

In our collaboration with Griffith City Council, Connley Walker conducted a thorough examination of the existing security environment, identified potential issues, and proposed comprehensive security solutions. The project encompassed remote consultations, site inspections, risk assessments, and the development of tailored security measures.

Connley Walker provided the following security consulting services:

  1. Stakeholder Meeting: Connley Walker initiated a stakeholder meeting to understand the current security landscape and identify potential issues. This initial phase included consultations with key stakeholders and a review of security policies, procedures, suppliers, incident history, and site-specific threats.

  2. On-site Inspection: A site inspection was conducted to assess the effectiveness of current security measures. This encompassed physical security aspects such as locks, gates, fencing, and overall architecture, electronic security components including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms, as well as security processes like key management, incident reporting, visitor management, and staff access management.

Security Risk Assessment and Recommendations:

  1. Risk Assessment According to Standards: A security risk assessment was performed in alignment with the Australian Standard for Risk Management (AS/NZS ISO 31000). This involved identifying and analysing risk levels associated with the existing security framework.

  2. Recommendations and Mitigation Measures: Connley Walker provided recommendations for enhancing incident reporting processes, improving security barriers, access control, securing windows, key management, CCTV systems, and other cost-effective security risk mitigation measures. These measures were specifically designed to address identified threats.

  3. Formal Report Documentation: All findings, recommendations, and details from the security risk assessment were documented in a formal report, providing Griffith City Council with a comprehensive overview of the current security status and proposed improvements.

Key Management Implementation:

  1. Procedure Documentation: Connley Walker implemented a documented procedure for key management at GCC Jensen Road Works Depot. This included a detailed plan outlining key management processes to enhance overall security.
