In collaboration with the New South Wales Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), Connley Walker conducted a comprehensive review of the security risk and threat assessment associated with the Kosciuszko National Park wild horse control program. The project focused on revisiting our previous Security Review, considering shifts in the operational landscape and potential alterations in the threat profile. The review encompassed a meticulous audit and gap analysis, evaluating the implemented controls, identifying gaps, and assessing the appropriateness of current risk levels and controls. The findings were synthesised into a supplementary report to augment the insights gleaned from the previous Connley Walker Security Review.
Connley Walker provided the following security consulting services:
A rigorous audit and gap analysis were undertaken to discern the efficacy of existing controls. This involved identifying implemented controls, assessing their status, and determining which controls were yet to be implemented. The evaluation extended to scrutinising the ongoing relevance of current risk levels and controls, ensuring alignment with the evolving operational context. Additionally, the analysis sought to pinpoint any gaps in the existing control framework and recommend additional measures to fortify security across various settings, encompassing both work and personal domains.
The culmination of findings and recommendations from the review was meticulously compiled into a supplementary report. This document served as an integral addendum to the previous Connley Walker Security Review, providing stakeholders with a nuanced understanding of the evolving security dynamics associated with the Kosciuszko National Park wild horse control program. The supplementary report facilitated informed decision-making by presenting a consolidated view of the audit outcomes, control adjustments, and enhanced risk mitigation strategies.
This collaborative effort between Connley Walker and the NPWS exemplifies our commitment to ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of security measures in dynamic operational environments.
