Connley Walker’s initial focus involved the creation of a robust security framework. This structured approach provided a high-level overview of security objectives, governance, planning, and risk management. Collaborating closely with the client, we crafted a tailored framework, addressing key components such as security governance, risk assessment, personnel security, physical security, vendor management, compliance, and auditing. The resulting framework served as the foundation for shaping the organisation’s security posture.

Security Management Plan:

Subsequently, our team transitioned into developing a detailed security management plan, translating the high-level objectives defined in the framework into specific tactical and operational actions. The plan outlined the organisational security structure, risk assessment and management strategies, physical security measures, personal security for executives, vendor and contractor security, incident management, audits, and testing. This operational document provided the practical steps required to mitigate risks and respond effectively to security incidents.

Security Procedures:

In the final phase of our engagement, Connley Walker meticulously developed specific security procedures tailored to the needs of the NSW EPA. These step-by-step instructions covered various areas, including access control, perimeter security, surveillance systems, security personnel activities, training, executive security, incident response, and documentation/reporting. These procedures ensured consistent and effective implementation of security practices, providing employees with clear guidance on their roles and responsibilities in maintaining security.

Personal Risk Assessments for NSW EPA Staff:

As part of our extensive security enhancement initiative with the New South Wales Environment Protection Authority security, Connley Walker conducted personalised risk assessments for staff members. These assessments delved into various aspects, including homes, workplaces, and online presence, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of individual security risks. The evaluation encompassed physical security measures at residences and workplaces, as well as considerations for online social media safety. By addressing these personal aspects, Connley Walker aimed to provide tailored security measures that extend beyond the organisational landscape, fostering a holistic approach to individual safety and well-being.
