Connley Walker Pty Ltd was engaged to undertake a security review and security risk assessment of the YVE Apartments residential complex. The engagement was initiated to evaluate the physical security measures in place and to ensure that the site’s access control and safety protocols aligned with best practice for multi-residential living environments.
As part of the engagement, Connley Walker Pty Ltd conducted a detailed site inspection of the complex. This included a review of perimeter security, entry points, internal circulation areas, car parks, and shared facilities to assess the suitability and effectiveness of existing physical security infrastructure.
In addition, Connley Walker Pty Ltd carried out consultations with relevant stakeholders, including property management representatives and on-site personnel. These discussions provided insight into daily operational routines, access procedures, incident response protocols, and overall site usage, allowing the review to be appropriately tailored to the needs of the facility.
The security risk assessment was conducted in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 and applied a structured methodology to identify and evaluate risks associated with unauthorised access, asset protection, resident safety, and access governance. Recommendations were developed to support informed decision-making around potential future enhancements or procedural improvements.
A Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) review was also incorporated into the engagement. This review assessed the influence of environmental and architectural features on security outcomes, including natural surveillance, territorial reinforcement, and access management.
Connley Walker Pty Ltd prepared a formal report outlining the scope of the engagement, the methodologies applied, and the professional approach undertaken. The report was structured to assist the property management team in maintaining and improving the safety, functionality, and overall security posture of the YVE Apartments complex.
